This blog is dedicated to our search for Rockin' Raymond, the coolest karaoke dude in Portland, if not the US. We are a group of karaoke whores who love to go around and sing our stuff to whoever will call up onto the stage! Our bar of choice was Grandma's on Holgate, especially in the days when Dennis was the host (complete with saxophone accompaniment!) and "Brother Raymond" was his sidekick. Dennis was great, but I understand he left Grandma's under contractual dispute. And, sadly, we believe with Dennis gone, Raymond followed him and left us hanging. Good old Raymond with his kick ass air guitar, Elvis impersonations complete with stylish outfits, and excellent stage presence.
So, we will search for Raymond by frequenting various karaoke establishments in Portland and then blogging about them to give our biased opinions (are there any other types of opinions?) about them. So stay tuned and in tune.
